- Saturday Classes
On Saturdays students will be trained for regular English classes in Canada, practicing grammar, writing, and literature studies. Students will expect a lot of writing and reading practices in Saturdays. For the first 4 weeks, practical English usage will be the main focus of the classes. Starting from simple sentences, students will learn to plan and write paragraphs and full essays. The following 8 weeks will be dedicated to literature studies, including short stories, novel studies, and poetry. If time permits, students will have a chance to taste Shakespeare studies as well.
토요일은 정규 영어 수업에 들어가기 위한 학습으로서 실제 캐나다 영어 시간에 배우게 될 여러가지 컨셉들을 배우게 됩니다. 처음 4주는 기본적인 영어 문법및 쓰기를 위한 학습을 주로 하게 될 것이며 간단한 문장부터 시작해서 패러그래프, 그리고 완전한 하나의 완벽한 에세이 라이팅 까지 전반적으로 학습을 하게 될 것입니다. 그 다음 8주는 완전한 캐나다 분학 수업에 의거한 개념및 라이팅 공부를 하게 될 것입니다. 문학수업에서 요구되는 필수 사항인 짧은 이야기(short story), 소설(novel studies), 그리고 시(poetry)까지 진도를 나갈 것이며 제일 마지막에는 시간이 허용할 경우 간단하게 북미주 영어 커리큘럼의 꽃이라 할 수 있는 Shakespeare 까지 학습을 할 것 입니다. - Sunday Classes
On Sundays, social studies and science classes will be held, each of which lasts about 1.5 hours long. Students will chiefly learn major concepts of science and major historical events in social studies. Unlike Saturdays, students will have a lot of note-takings, learning and memorizing major events and concepts. Social studies covers 1815 to 1914 Canada. Its history, ethnicity, multiculturalism, politics, and governments will all be covered in class. For Science, all science fields, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, Ecology, and Environmental studies, will be covered. However, the most importance will be given to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, all of which are very essential in university preparation studies. Concepts learning, vocabulary, and problem solving will be main focus of the study.
일요일 정규 수업은 짧게 사회와 과학을 운영하게 될 것입니다. 사회는 기본적으로 Social Studies10에 연관되는 수업을 할 것이며 이 수업은 1815년부터 1914년 까지 캐나다 사회의 성장과 역사 그리고 간단하게 캐나다의 생태계및 환경에 관해 배우게 될 것 입니다. 한 민족이 아닌 다양한 인종들이 믹스되어 사는 캐나다의 독특한 사회환경에 따른 커리큘럼으로서 소수민족에 관한 문제들, 캐나다 정부및 국가의 형성, 다양한 인종문제및 정치와 경제 효과까지 전반적으로 둘러보고 정보를 이해해나가는 차원에서 수업을 하게 될 것 입니다.
과학 수업은 Science10을 기준으로 할 것이며 물리, 화학, 생물, 및 지구과학, 천문학, 환경학을 전반적으로 공부하게 될 것인데, 아무래도 11학년, 12학년 및 대학 입시에 가장 중요하게 연관이 지어지게 되는 물리, 화학, 생물 이 3가지 파트에 대해서 집중적으로 공부하게 될 것 입니다. 과학 과목에 있어서는 어떻게 문제를 이해하고 푸는지, 그리고 한국과 다른 여러가지 전문 활용용어및 기본 개념에 대해 전반적인 오버뷰를 하게 됩니다. - Lessons Plans (Tentative)
