Waterloo Works (https://waterlooworks.uwaterloo.ca/home.htm) 라는 홈페이지가 있으며 모든 코업은 이 웹사이트에서 이루어진다. 이 웹사이트에는 지원 가능한 회사정보가 명시되어 있으며, 자신이 원하는 회사 지원이 가능하다.

코옵 방식으로는 stream 4 과 stream 8 이 있다.

코옵 프로그램은 또한 co-op fee 라는 것이 있으며 보통 한 학기당 700~750불을 요구한다.
코업 프로그램 참여시 비용이 학기당 요구되는데, 이 금액이 부담스럽다면 edge program 이라는 것을 통해 학교에서 resume, job interview는 지원하지만 자신이 회사를 직접 알아봐야 한다.

AIF란?

AIF는 Admission Information Form으로 특정 학과에 지원 시 필수적으로 제출해야 하는 신청서이다. 작성시 스펠링, 문법, 문장 구사력을 평가하며 자신의 경험을 토대로 무엇(리더십, 팀워크 등)을 보여줄 수 있는지를 주로 쓰는 게 중요하다.
자기소개서와 개념이 비슷하며 Extracurricular activities에 관해서도 서술해야 한다. Faculties of Engineering and Mathematics, along with the Architecture, Computing and Financial Management, Conditional Admission to Pharmacy, Optometry, and Pharmacy programs 등 위 학과는 AIF 가 필수적이며 다른 학과는 선택사항이다.
AIF의 퀄리티가 높아질수록 프로그램 진입에 요구되는 GPA가 낮아진다.
