써리교육청에서 내려온 상황 및 코로나 환불규정 안내문 입니다. > 유학맘이야기

주요 내용은 현재 B.C주의 상황이 개선되어지고 있고 부분적으로 개학한 부분(메뉴얼 2단계)이 잘 진행이 되어지고 있어 다음주부터는 코로나 대응 메뉴얼 3단계로 넘어갈 예정이라고 합니다.

현재로써는 이번 달 말에 유학생들에게 국경이 열릴지에 대한 답변이 내려올거라 판단되어진다고 하는 내용입니다.

환불규정은, 8월 24일까지 국경폐쇄가 지속될 경우에, 500불(행정비)를 제외한 학비 환불이 가능하시고 내년 9월까지 연기가 가능합니다.

현재 3월 18일 전에 학생비자를 받으셨다면 특별 환불규정과 별개로 9월 학기 시작 전에 취소시, 3분의2를 환불 받으실 수 있습니다.

I am happy to report that the situation in British Columbia is improving. We are now well into our next Phase 2 of the Province of BC’s Restart Plan. Schools welcomed our students back to school on June 1 for a blend of face to face and online instruction. Elementary schools (K-5) have returned half time and Grades 6-12 have returned with 20% face to face support. If transmission rates remain low or in decline, we will move into Phase 3 sometime likely next week. We will continue to take our direction from our Provincial Health Officer and our Ministry of Education as we plan for September and move forward with education in the province of British Columbia.

At this point we expect to have an answer later this month from the Government of Canada about the borders being open to international students. At this time all students or anyone arriving in Canada from abroad (including Canadians) are subject to a 14 day isolation. 

COVID-19 Addendum to Refund Policy

Please note that our existing Refund Policy detailed on page 3 of our International Student Program Legal Agreement remains in effect, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the following addendum has been adopted:

국제 학생 프로그램 법적 계약서 3페이지에 명시된 기존 환불 정책은 여전히 유효함을 참고해 주시고, 코로나로인해 다음과 같은 정책이 나왔습니다.

• As of August 24, 2020, if the Government of Canada prohibits a student to enter Canada for study purposes, newly enrolled international students will be eligible to defer the start of their program to September 2021 or apply to receive a refund of program fees paid (less a $500 admin fee).
• Students holding a valid study permit issued on or before March 18 are exempt from travel restrictions and will not be eligible for a refund of fees as they are eligible to enter Canada, however, upon arrival are subject to a 14 day self-isolation.
• After the program start of September 8, refunds will follow our existing Refund Policy in the ISP Legal Agreement, including in regards to possible future suspension of in-class instruction or quarantine.

 -2020년 8월 24일 캐나다 정부에서 유학생의 캐나다 입국이 풀리지 않을 경우, 새로 등록한 유학생들은 2021년 9월로 연기하거나 납부한 학비(행정비 500불을 제한)를 돌려받으실수 있습니다.

-3월 18일 전에 학생비자를 받은 학생들은 입국제한범위에 벗어나기때문에 해당되어지지 않습니다. 학생들은 여전히 입국했을때 14일의 자가격리가 필수입니다.

- 9월 8일 이후에 학기가 시작되어지면, 환불은 본래의 ISP Legal Agreement 법적 합의서에 있는 기존 환불 정책에 따라 환불이 되어집니다.

Factors that will impact international students:

• Mandatory early arrival and self-isolation of 14 days for any inbound international students (cannot enter a school until self-isolation is done)
• May experience a blend of face-to-face and remote learning for students depending on what phase we are in
• No groups or activities of over 50 people, continued physical distancing
• Small groups may take place if using non-medical masks etc./limiting extracurricular activities
• High contact sports, group and overnight field trips will be cancelled
• Impact/cancellation/major changes to events, celebrations, festivities, ceremonies, athletics and all group social interactions
• Supplementary instruction or activities specifically for international students will not be provided  
• All of these factors could change at any time, depending on a resurgence of COVID-19 and the direction we are given from the Province of BC
• Students should contact their chosen homestay provider directly for their Refund Policy if need be

-입국한 유학생에 대해 의무적인 조기 도착 및 자가격리 14일(자가격리가 끝날때까지 학교 등교 불가)

-코로나 상황에 따라서 등교와 원격 수업을 섞어서 경험할 수 있음

-50명 이상의 단체나 활동 불가 / 생활 거리두기 유지

-소그룹은 메디컬 마스크 착용시 가능

-접촉이 많은 스포츠, 단체, 야간 필드트립의 취소

-행사, 축하행사, 축제, 운동 및 모든 집단 사회활동 영향/취소가능성

-특별 보충 수업이나 엑티비티는 유학생들에게 제공되지 않음

-이 모든 사안은 Covid-19의 상황과 B.C정부에 다라 언제든지 바뀔수 있음
