랭리 교육청에서는 지난주에 학생들, 지역공동체와 연대하기 위한 노력들에 대해 사진과 동영상을 올렸습니다. 비록 사회적 거리두기를 실천해야할지라도 마음만은 함께있다, 우리는 학생들을 항상 생각한다는 노력을 보여주는 따뜻한 제스처인 것 같습니다. 카퍼레이드 이용하여 학생들과 학부모들에게 인사하는 시간을 보내기도 했는데요. 밑의 링크에서 동영상으로 확인하실 수 있습니다.

Connecting with the Community

 공동체와 연대하기

Community is one of our District’s core values. That means staying connected, building relationships, caring about one another, and working together. And in these difficult times, these values arewhat the District has been working hard to maintain.

공동체는 우리 지역의핵심 가치 중 하나입니다. 이것은 우리가 연대하고, 관계를쌓아나가며, 서로를 보살피고, 함께 노력해나가는 것을 의미합니다. 이런 어려운 상황 속에서, 이 가치들이야 말로 우리가 지키기 위해열심히 노력하는 부분입니다.

 

This week, students have been receiving phone calls from teachers and staff, connecting with them to find out how the yare doing, and what they need. The District’s first goal is to meet the basicneeds of students and families because, if these basic needs are not met,learning cannot take place.

이번 주에 우리 학생들은 선생님과 학교직원들로부터 어떻게 지내고 있는지 무엇이 필요한 지에 대해 전화 통화를했습니다. 우리 지역의 첫 번째 목표는 학생들과 가족들이 최소한으로 필요한 것을 충족하여 주는 것입니다, 그렇지 않으면 학습이 가능하지 않기 때문이죠.

 

Over the course of this week, educators have been reaching out in any way they can, because, as Alice Brown Principal Michael Carlyle said, “nobody goes into education to become a teacher, to teach behind a computer screen, or to send things home."

이번 한주간, 교육자들은 그들이 할 수 있는 모든 방법으로 연락하고자했습니다. 왜냐하면, Alice Brown의 교장 Michael Carlye이 말한 것처럼, “아무도 선생이 되어서, 컴퓨터 스크린 뒤에서 가르치고, 집에 뭔가를 보내려고 교육계에발을 들여놓지 않는다.” 이기 때문입니다.

 

Throughout the week, educators and staff have come up with out-of-the-box ideas to help keep their school community feeling a sense of belonging. An example of this is the Community Car Rally atAlice Brown Elementary which took place on Wednesday, April 1.

한 주 내내, 교육자들과 직원들은 우리 학교 공동체로 하여금 소속감을느낄 수 있도록 하기 위해 독창적인 방법을 고안해왔습니다. 이것의 한 예시는 4월 1일 수요일 AliceBrown Elementary에서 Community Car Rally를 한 것입니다.

 

“During this time, where we want to reconnect with our community,” says Carlyle, “getting an opportunity for us toget out, drive around, see our students, see our families, reconnect, and let them know that we care about them and that we’re thinking about them all the time.”

Next week, the connecting will continue.Some students and parents may have opportunities to schedule times to retrieve belongings from their schools. Teachers will be continuing to build connections and may distribute resources that may be used in the coming months.

다음 주에도 이러한 연대는 계속 될 것입니다. 몇몇 부모님과 학생들은 학교에서 소지품을 가져올 수 있게 스케줄을 잡을 수 있는 기회도 있을 것입니다. 선생님들은 계속해서 연락을 취하고 앞으로 앞으로 몇 달간 사용될지도 모르는 수업자료들을 나눠주기도 할 것입니다.

Regardless of what that may look like, the District’s top priority is student’s health and safety. Educators will continueto do the best they can to raise everyone’s spirits! Being a part of this community and feeling like we all belong together is a big part of student wellness.

재택 학습이 어떤 형식을 취하게 될 지와 상관없이, 우리 지역의 가장우선순위는 학생들의 건강과 안전입니다. 교육자들은 모두의 사기를 북돋기 위해 계속 해서 최선을 다할것입니다. 이 공동체의 한 부분으로서 우리는 다 같이 속해있다라는 느낌은 학생이 잘 지내고 있다고 느끼는데 큰 부분을 차지합니다.
