Dear International Students and International Parents,

국제학생들과 국제학생 부모님들께,

Whether you are still in North Vancouver or you have returned to your home country, we hope you are all well. As you have likely heard over and over, these are unprecedented times we know many of you have questions so we would like to provide you with some answers to questions that are being asked frequently. 
현재 노스벤쿠버에 계시던 고국으로 돌아가셨든, 우리는 다들 잘 지내고계시길 바랍니다.
계속 반복해서 들으셨던것과 같이, 이러한 전례없는 사태에 우리는 많은 질문들이 있을걸 알고있고 그 질문들에 몇가지
답변을 드리고자 합니다.

There are some questions we do not have answers for yet. For parents currently residing in North Vancouver, you will have received updates from the NVSD Superintendent of Schools so you may already be aware of some of this information.
몇가지 질문들은 아직 답변을 못드리는 질문들도 있습니다. 현재 노스벤쿠버에 살고계신 부모님들은, 정보를 얻으실수 있도록 
노스벤쿠버 교육청 교육청장님께 학교 관련 업데이트를 받으실 예정입니다.

By now, our teachers and high school counselors have reached out to all our international students and online learning is underway. This will look different teacher to teacher, grade to grade, school to school and school district to school district. 
지금쯤이면, 우리 선생님들과 고등학교 카운셀러들이 모든 국제학생들에게 연락해서 온라인 학습이 진행중일것입니다.
이것은 선생님들, 학년, 학교, 교육청에 따라 다를것입니다..

Teachers will be focussing on core competencies and required subjects for graduation - some subjects will be more challenging to deliver remotely, but parents you are welcome to reach out to teachers with questions you may have. ELL teachers are also reaching out to students to continue to support their English language learning.
선생님들은 핵심 역량과 졸업을 위한 과목들에 초점을 맞출것입니다.
어떠한 과목들은 원격으로 전달되어지는것이 더 어려울수도 있지만, 부모님들이 선생님들께 질문사항때문에 연락하시는것은
언제나 환영입니다. ELL 선생님들 또한 학생들에게 영어 학습을 지속적으로 서포트해주기 위해 연락을 하고있습니다.

We are being asked if international students will receive report cards in June. 
우리는 국제학생들이 6월에 성적표를 받을 예정인지 질문을 받고있습니다.
Yes, they will. It is important for all students (K-12) to stay connected to their teachers to continue their learning whether they are still in North Vancouver or they have returned to their home countries, as final report cards will include assessments for the continued learning opportunities between now and June.
성적표를 받을것입니다. 모든 학생들(K-12)이 노스벤쿠버에 머물던, 한국으로 돌아갔던지 지금부터 6월까지
선생님과 지속적으로 학습이 이어져서 마지막 성적표에 반영이 되어집니다.

We are being asked if grade 12 students will graduate.
우리는 12학년 학생들이 졸업할지에 관한 질문들을 받고 있습니다.
The BC Minister of Education announced that students who were on track to progress to the next grade or to graduate will do so. This includes our grade 12 students eligible to graduate in June. Graduating students must continue with online classes in order to successfully complete the school year.
BC주 교육부 장관은 다음학년으로 가는것과 졸업 예정이었던 학생들은 그렇게 진행될거라고 발표해주셨습니다.
이것은 6월에 졸업하는 우리 12학년 학생들도 포함되어집니다.
졸업예정인 학생들은 온라인클래스를 계속해서 성공적으로 완료해야할것입니다.

A question often asked is what will happen in September. 
자주 받는 질문중 하나는 9월학기에 어떻게 될까입니다.
We wish we could give you an answer, but it is still too early to know. 
우리가 이것에관련한 질문의 답을 줄수 있음 좋겠지만, 아직 그것을 알기에는 너무 이릅니다.
School Districts are being guided by the BC Ministers of Education and Healthand by the Provincial Health Officer. We all have to be patient while they determine the timing of how and when things will be ready to start up again.
학교 교육청들은 BC 교육부장관과 보건부 담당자를 따릅니다. 우리는 그들이 어느 타이밍에 언제 다시 시작할수 있을지를 결정하는 동안 모두들 인내심을 가지고 기다려야 할 것입니다.

Our hope is the same as yours. You want your children in school - we want your children back in our
schools. Without students and teachers, schools are just empty buildings. Whether classes start again
later this Spring, or not until the Fall, we look forward to welcoming your children/our students back.
우리의 희망은 같습니다. 부모님들은 아이들이 학교에 있기를 원합니다. - 우리는 아이들이 우리의 학교로 다시 돌아오길 바랍니다. 학생들과 선생님들없으면 학교는 텅 빈 건물입니다. 올 봄에 수업이 시작되든지, 가을까지 이어지던지, 우리는 아이들을 환영하기를 기다립니다.

Our international office and the NVSD Education Services Centre (ESC) remain open - our international staff are rotating between working off-site and working at the ESC in order to meet the physical distancing expectations in place. All international team members are available through email. If you have gone home or will be going home before June 30th, please send us an email so we know where you are. There is no wrong decision - the best decision is the one that is right for your family.
우리의 국제 사무실과 노스벤쿠버 교육청의 교육 서비스 센터는 현재 열려있습니다. 우리 국제 담당 직원들은 사회적 거리두기를 충족시키기 위해 재택 근무와 사무실에서 일하는 것을 순환하고있습니다. 모든 국제 팀 구성원들은 이메일을 통해서 소통이가능합니다. 만약 집으로 돌아가셨거나 6월 30일 전에 돌아갈 예정이시라면, 우리가 아이들이 어디있는지 알수 있도록 이메일을 보내주시길 바랍니다. 잘못된 결정은 없습니다. 가장 좋은 결정은 당신의 가족에게 옳은 결정입니다.

For new international students who will be joining us in September, we are hopeful that Visa Application and Biometrics Centres, outside of Canada, will reopen soon and that Canada Immigration will understand the need for quick processing. 
9월에 새로 오게 될 국제학생들을 위해, 우리는 캐나다 외부에 있는 비자 신청과 바이오메트릭 센터들이 곧 제개 되어지고,
캐나다 이민국의 빠른 처리가 되도록 이해하기를 희망합니다.

Unfortunately, we do not have information on when these centres will reopen. 
For those students who hold current study permits, or who were approved on or before March 18, 2020, you will be able to travel to Canada. For those approved after March 18, or those still waiting for study permit approval, be patient until you receive notification from Canada Immigration.
불행히도, 우리는 이 센터들이 언제 다시 문을 열지는 정보를 갖고있지 않습니다.
현재 Study permit를 가지고 있거나 3월 18일 이전에 승인을 받은 학생들은 캐나다에 입국할수 있을것입니다.
3월 18일 이후에 승인되었거나, 아직 비자가 승인되기를 기다리고 있는분들의 경우, 캐나다 이민국으로 결과가 나올때까지
인내심을 가지고 기다리시면 됩니다.

There are currently 14 day self isolating restrictions in place for anyone entering Canada.
We are happy to address any questions you may have. Email is likely the most efficient way for us to
respond.
현재 캐나다에 입국하는사람들 모두 14일간의 자가 격리의 규제가 있습니다.
