3월 30일 랭리교육청 안내문이 업데이트되어 알려드리고자 합니다.

1. Continuity of Learning(교육의 지속): 4월 1일 이메일 정보를 확인하기 위해 최초 연락이 가고, 4월 3일전까지 기본적인 안내사항에 대해 연락이 갈 것이다. 이 때까지 연락을 받지 못했다면, 학교에 연락을 취해 이메일 정보를 확인해달라. 모든 학생들은 최종 성적을 받게 될 것이고, 학년을 진급하고자 하는 학생들도 성적을 받을 것이다. 내년 학습 일정은 영향을 받지 않을 것이다. 졸업은 자격을 갖췄다면 문제 없이 이루어질 것이다.

 

2. Early Return to Home Country(고향으로의 이른 귀국): 일찍 귀국하는 학생들에 대해 현재 이민국에서 발표한 업데이트를 올려놓았다. 귀국하는 것은 부모의 결정이고, 당장 귀국하더라도 다시 돌아올 수 있을지는 이민국에서 발표한 대로 3월 18일 이전의 받은 유효한 학생비자가 있으면 가능하다. 하지만, 2주 자가 격리를 해야한다.

3. Important(중요사항): 이민국과 정부 사이트에 들어가서 매번 업데이트를 확인하고, 캐나다를 떠났다 돌아왔을 때에는 반드시 국제학생부(ISP)와 선생님에게 알려야 한다.

4. MSP(MSP 보험): 랭리교육청 프로그램을 듣는 동안에는 학생들도 MSP커버도 포함된다. 코로나 바이러스를 걸렸을 경우에도 마찬가지이다.  

5. Refund Policy(환불 정책): 앞으로도 교육을 지속적으로 할 것이므로 이전 정책과 변화는 없다. 2020년 9월 학기 입학과 관련하여서는, 어떻게 캐나다로의 입국과 학습이 영향을 받게 될 지를 결정하기란 아직 이르다. 국가와 이민국의 결정에 따라 안내 나갈 것이다.

6. International Students Program(국제학생부): 직접 방문이 불가하다. 질문이 있을시, ISP@Sd35.bc.ca 이 주소로 메일 보내달라. https://www.sd35.bc.ca 웹사이트에 방문해서 지속적으로 업데이트 되는 내용을 확인해 달라.

The regularly planned Spring Break has cometo an end (March 27) and in-class instruction was originally scheduled to resume on March 30.

As per the Provincial Education Ministryannouncement, all in-person classes are now suspended indefinitely.

However, teachers will be continuing learning for students remotely and students will finish their courses or grade.

In Langley, staff are working hard to prepare for what our continued learning will look like as both the Province and our District are committed to continuity of learning to provide education to our students.

In the meantime, ensure that you and yourchild check your email/school app or any other social media/messaging that you currently use to communicate with school staff for any updated information coming directly from the school and classroom teacher(s).

You should receive an initial communication from your school on or before Wednesday, April 1.

This first contact may be only to confirm that they have your current email contact information.

The hope is that by Friday, April 3, you will have received basic details from your teacher(s) and International School Coordinators about what to expect in the coming weeks.

International students who are enrolled with a K-12 school in BC will be allowed to complete their coursework from overseas, therefore, it is important to ensure you are keeping in touch directly with your school and teacher(s).

Every student will receive a final mark,and all students on track to pass their grade will do so.

Therefore, studies for the next school year will not be affected.

All students eligible to graduate and who have met all the requirements will graduate.

Final report cards will be regularly issued in June/July.

We will continue with the process of preparing reports for validation, for those students that request this service.

Early Return to Home Country We continue to receive some inquiries from agents and parents about students returning homeearly.

We recognize that this is a very personal and sometimes difficult decision that only a parent and family can make.

Parents need to weigh the risk of their child remaining in Canada versus that of having them travel back to their home country.

Due to travel restrictions and the closure of our Canadian border as well as the requirement to self  isolate upon arrival in Canada, we anticipate that students without a valid study permit that choose to leave will not be able to return to Langley for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year, or possibly beyond that date.

The most current information we have is as follows: According to messaging on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canadawebsite updated March 26: “As announced on March 20, 2020, international students who held a valid study permit or had been approved for a study permit when the travel restrictions took effect on March 18, 2020, will be able travel to Canada by air or land.

They will be exempt from air travel and border restrictions.

This exemption is to accommodate students who are in the middle of their course of study or who have just been approved to study in Canada but were outside Canada when the travel restrictions took effect.

We encourage you to closely monitor the IRCC website and the Government of Canada’s travel website.

Medical Insurance For those with a studypermit and covered with the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP): If a student were to get sick here in British Columbia during their time in our program, they are insured.

For those without a study permit and covered with Guard.me private insurance: If a student were to get sick here in British Columbia during their time in ourprogram, they are insured for anything that is not a pre-existing condition.

Refund Policy As Langley School District will provide continuity of learning to all of Langley’s learners from now until the end of the school year, there is no plan to change this policy. Regarding the September 2020 intake, it is too soon to determine how learning and entry into Canada will be affected.

Many of the decisions – borders closing,schools going on longer breaks, etc. – are made by different levels of government.
