We are writing to share with you some updates and provide you with a sense of what students can expect in the coming weeks.

Burnaby staff have been working hard to create plans to provide a sense of connection and routine that keeps students engaged in their own education.

After Spring Break, we will be connecting with students and continue to develop the learning environment. To assist students with planning, we have provided the timeline below:

Also during the week of March 30, students will find details on our district website (www.burnabyschools.ca) about access to our newly created Continuing Learning Website.

It contains self-directed activities for students at home. We will suggest the following initial explorations of the new site for students.

Grades 8 – 12: complete the online module “Digital Citizenship Quest”. Much of the work going forward will take place through technology. This module will help build an understanding of each of our roles in a digital environment, including how to stay safe, as well as how to be a caring and productive member of any digital community.

Whether students are socializing with friends, playing video games, or working on a school assignment, this is an important life skill in a technological age.
학생들이 친구들과 사회성을 기르는것, 비디오게임을 하는것, 학교 과제를 하는것들이 기술 세대에 중요한 기술들입니다.

Kindergarten – Grade 7: explore activities by grade level on the Continuing Learning Site.

We will continue to provide you with updates to support our international students to transition to our new learning environment, and thank you in advance for your patience.
우리는 지속적으로 국제 학생들이 우리의 새로운 학습 환경을 이행할수 있도록 지원하는 업데이트를 제공할 예정이고, 인내심에 미리 감사드립니다.

To those international students who have returned home, we look forward to the day we can meet in person again. In the meantime, we are happy that all of us can still come together as a community, albeit virtually.
집으로 귀국한 유학생들에게 다시 직접 만날날을 기다립니다. 한편으론, 가상으로라도 우리가 동동체로 여전히 모일수 있어서 행복합니다.
